Instructions
Place the peeled and sliced apples evenly into a 1 ½-quart slow cooker.
In a bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, oats, butterscotch pudding mix, and cinnamon until well combined.
Add the cold cubed butter to the dry ingredients and use a pastry cutter to cut in until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples in the slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low for 2 ½ to 3 ½ hours until the apples are tender and the topping is golden and bubbling.
Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Try adding chopped pecans for crunch or dried cranberries for a tart twist. For a richer finish, drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
