Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.

  • Add the melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture to the flour mixture. Stir until a dough begins to form.
  • Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.

Baking

  • Punch down the dough gently and knead in the nuts. Shape it into a loaf.
  • Place the shaped loaf in a greased loaf pan, cover it, and allow it to rise again for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Storing leftover bread wraps it in a kitchen towel and places it in an airtight container. The bread stays fresh and soft for days. Toast slices on a skillet to enjoy the aroma again.
