  • 1 container Cool Whip (thawed) Make sure it is completely thawed.
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Can be melted in a microwave.
  • 1 cup pecans (chopped) You can use any other nuts you prefer.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Add a little extra for more flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt To balance the sweetness.

Preparation

  • Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl using 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  • In a large mixing bowl, pour in the thawed Cool Whip and appreciate its light texture.
  • Slowly fold the melted chocolate into the Cool Whip mixture until combined.
  • Add the chopped pecans, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt, stirring gently until well blended.
  • Prepare a baking dish by lining it with parchment paper and pour the mixture into the dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Press the mixture down gently to pack it.
  • Freeze the dish for at least 3-4 hours until set firm.

Serving

  • After freezing, let the dish sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften.
  • Cut into squares or desired shapes and serve on a platter.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer. It can last for up to three weeks. The flavors deepen over time.
