For the Donuts

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1.5 cups unsweetened dairy-free yogurt
  • 0.25 cups avocado oil
  • 1 tsp maple extract
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cups maple sugar
  • 1.5 cups gluten-free flour blend
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt

For the Maple Glaze

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened dairy-free yogurt
  • 1 tbsp maple sugar

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, yogurt, oil, maple extract, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Whisk in the maple sugar until fully combined.
  • In another bowl, mix the gluten-free flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gently mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a thick, smooth batter forms.
  • Spoon or pipe the batter into the donut molds, filling each about three-quarters full.

Baking

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the tops are set and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the donuts cool for 5 minutes in the pan, then transfer them to a wire rack.

Glazing

  • In a small bowl, combine the maple syrup, yogurt, and maple sugar; warm slightly if needed.
  • Dip the cooled donuts in the glaze or drizzle it over the tops, allowing it to set for 5–10 minutes.

Notes

For added texture and flavor, try topping with crushed pecans or extra glaze. These donuts can be made ahead and stored; they often taste even better the next day.
