Preparation

  • Start by placing the Oreo cookies into a thick freezer bag. Using a rolling pin, gently pound them until they are crushed into small, delicious crumbs.
  • Next, pour the milk into a blender. Follow this with the ice cream and the crushed Oreo crumbs.
  • Pulse the blender a few times to combine the ingredients, then blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • If you're feeling a little extra, add the vanilla extract at this point, blending once more until everything is combined beautifully.
  • Check the consistency. If you desire a thicker shake, simply adjust by adding a bit more milk into the mix.
  • Gently pour the milkshake into two glasses.
  • Top each glass with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Drizzle with chocolate syrup.
  • Add a whole Oreo on top for garnish.
  • Serve immediately, with a straw and a spoon.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider mixing in chocolate ice cream or a scoop of peanut butter. You can also add peppermint extract in winter months for a festive twist.
